Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 7, 2026
StudyCitizen is operated by Sukhdeep Singh Bassian, an individual based in Ontario, Canada.
This policy explains what happens to your information when you use studycitizen.ca. The short version: we don't collect any of it.
We don't collect personal information
StudyCitizen has no accounts, no sign-up, and no login. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, immigration status, or any other personal detail, and we have no way to identify you.
Your study progress stays on your device
When you answer questions, take a mock exam, or review your mistakes, that information is saved in your browser's local storage — a small amount of space on your own phone or computer.
This data never leaves your device. It is not sent to us, and we cannot see it. If you clear your browser data, use a different device, or use private browsing, that progress will not be there.
You can erase everything we've stored on your device at any time from the Settings page in the app.
Cookies
We do not use cookies for advertising, tracking, or profiling, and we do not share data with advertising networks.
Analytics
We may use privacy-focused analytics to understand how many people visit the site and which pages they use. If we do, it will be a service that does not use cookies, does not create a profile of you, and does not track you across other websites. Aggregate numbers like "how many people took a mock exam today" tell us whether the site is working. They do not tell us anything about you individually.
If you email us — including through the "Report this question" link in the app — we receive your email address and whatever you write, because that's how email works. We use it only to reply to you and to correct the question you reported. We do not add you to any mailing list.
Children
StudyCitizen is study material for the Canadian citizenship test, which is taken by adults. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone.
Third parties
The site is hosted by Vercel and served through Cloudflare. Like all web hosts, they process technical information such as IP addresses in order to deliver the site to you and to protect against abuse. We do not receive this information in a form that identifies you.
Our About page links to the Government of Canada website. Once you follow that link, this policy no longer applies.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top will change with it. Since we have no way to contact you, we won't be able to notify you directly — check back here if it matters to you.
